121GW Micro Amps auto range ESP32 DeepSleep
« on: May 31, 2019, 12:22:29 am »
Hi Team and thank you in advance for any advise and help.

I currently have Dave's uCurrent gold and a Current Ranger to measure the current usage on my ESP32 projects.
The reason I got the Current ranger with the uCurrent the ESP32 keeps resetting when it comes up out of deep sleep.

I want to get the 121GW so I can run the measuring over a long time and log via bluetooth, can anyone tell me if I will have the same problem with the 121GW as I do with the uCurrent.

Sorry if I didn't explain the issue correctly.
Cheers
Tony.

The 121GW, like all multimeters, has fixed shunt resistors that don't change with autoranging. This is why meters have range µA, mA and A switch positions and physical jacks you have to change.
So no, it and other meters are not like the current ranger that electronically switches shunt resistors.
