It stays that way, even if you let the program run for minutes - I still can't see what it says.
The fact is, the program only continues to run when you switch the ET4410 off and on again.
Then a few lines appear, the status bar remains at 0% and perhaps it also says why this is the case.

As far as I understand, that is for pausing the upgrade. I'm not sure why one would like to do that.

Make sure the fonts are active.

I think you'll see the Chinese, when you have traditional Chinese as your language settings. I would only try this with an extra user, because I cannot use windows blindly enough to perform all operations in Chinese and then switch back to English. I don't find other [2] in the setup strings than that mentioned earlier. So I guess the strings may be stored in some unicode and I would have to find into that in order to extract the right strings and display them.

In order to display the program correctly under Windows,
I simply selected Chinese (Simplified China) under "Language" as shown in the picture below.

Edit:

The base language remains German (or English, depending on what is set as the main language) and it will not be switched to Chinese.
As you can read below, apps check whether the language is installed and use it if it is available.

Everything done, but the menu of the update programme and most of the messages remain unreadable.
The text file in the folder is also indecipherable.
And so I could beat myself up at the moment...
Earlier the LCR was alive again, something I did made the flashing take 347 seconds and the device started itself.
But it showed the old firmware and so I started again....
....And I have a dark screen again.....
If I can somehow fix it, I'll leave it like this, no matter how great the new firmware is.

You start the tool, click on the "" area - and then switch on the device.
Then everything happens automatically.
But I don't have the new firmware version.

Japanese won't help much, here, i guess. The software should be Chinese language. The Japanese adopted the Kanji from China a long time ago and we had a Chinese guy in a Japanese class, who struggled barely less with the Japanese Kanji than the German students.

Yes, Japanese and Chinese do share a set of characters, but not all the meanings are the same. More complex words are supposedly more different, but I don't know more than a few Japanese words.

Not everything in that range are strings. So it can be absolute nonsense, that might contain something meaningful, if we are lucky. But i was happy to find some encoding setting, that at least looked partially Chinese to me.

Thanks to the post, however, I have also discovered that the new firmware is installed on my ET4410:

Contrary to the version in the file name, the correct version that is inside is: V6.00.2405.039

My version before flashing(Unit bought 07/2023):
V6.00.2136.018
So it worked after all.
