ET3501 100kHz $580

It looks really grown up, but Aliexpress shows me a price of over 1000€, plus the note that delivery to my country is not possible.

Yes, that is known, there is also a 1Mhz model - And they all look the same, if you are referring to the picture showing a 3505. ;)

There is a calibration routine in the settings, this is accessed by holding down the SET button I think when turning on. Any more info on this would be appreciated. Thats if anyone dare calibrate it, i daren't as I don't have the values required.

Thank you for the hint. I so far only tried the open+short calibration.

Hi,
Thank you for the hint, NickNacl!
Indeed, when pressing the "Set" button while powering on, a secret menu appears...
...But not in english. ;)
To our chinese members: Could anyone of you translate this and post it here? Thanks !!
Edit: or confirm that the google translations is correct.

Edit: or confirm that the google translations is correct.

At least a Greek letter near Arabic numbers in a Chinese menu seems to challenge google translate  :-DD

ET3501 100kHz $580

It looks really grown up, but Aliexpress shows me a price of over 1000€, plus the note that delivery to my country is not possible.

The 3501 is $550 here: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/1005004523242097.html
But its a too bulky for me to consider 3.6kg, at least the 45xx is fairly compact can easily be picked up by hand.

Another seller sold me the 4510 for $190 but has not shipped, so I won't recommend them yet: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/1005001645307071.html Do not use this seller, they asked for more money and never shipped.
You can take another $20-30 off these prices using coupons.

i just used google translate. my tester went out of calibration so i tried to recal it but it is still way out.
I have not seen an english menu yet, neither is this cal routine documented. I was trying to find a reset key, but this popped up.

Hello. I have a similar LCR meter, only RuoShui 4091C.

As I understand it, their hardware is almost the same as ET4410.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_8pZtPALrc#t=21m

When I was choosing which one to take, i liked RuoShui 4091C more, it is
somehow more solidly made.  It seemed to me to be of higher quality.

What software on the computer can be used with them by connecting via RS232?

Hello,
congratulations! What VID and PID does it show when connected by USB?
You could probably use that software https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/program-that-can-log-from-many-multimeters/
If you are running linux, I have some work-in-progress software, which also has some library for talking to ET4XXX. If someone is interested, I can share some info and sources.

Hello. I have a similar LCR meter, only RuoShui 4091C.

That one seems to support the frequency, level and offset variation in small steps like the more expansive ET45XX, but at the lower price level of the ET44XX. Interesting!

Where did you find the 4091C cheaper than the ET4510? I got the ET4510 for a bit less than 300euro (exc. customs). Should be here next week.

Sorry, that look was too quick. I duckducked for the 4091C and found a hit on aliexpress, but I did not see that it was a multi-variant offer and only looked at the price. But that was for the VC4090A.

Yeh, that's. tricky one on aliexpress. Sometimes they show a pic of some expensive equipment for $20 and you end up buying some cable or something...

Only sometimes 4091C sell fake ones.
On them, the label is on top and not on the bottom and the power button is round and not square, here is an example of a fake:

This looks like the East Tester or Mustool (that I have). They have round power button. It's not necessarily a "fake". I guess they are just relabeling them and chassis look a little different.

Hello!

I requested from the manufacturer a program for controlling the RuoShui 4091C LCR meter in English:

https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/east-tester-et4410-desktop-lcr-meter/msg5231736/#msg5231736

Here is the link:   https://tis.kz/temp/LCR_setup_Eng.zip

Can't get it to find the font in wine (tried to install it to multiple places). Ah, well, don't really need it though.

I would like to choose a serial port first - but you can't do that.
The pop-up window next to the "Connect" button is empty.
Then I looked in the setup.ini, there is a line com id =1.
OK, my ET4410 is com5, so I changed the 1 to a 5, started, nothing.
Then the other way round, changed the comport in the device manager, from 5 to 1, then unpacked the program again, started - nothing.
Always the message that you have to select a port first, which you can't do.
Garbage.
Edit: It works now.
