Hameg HM605
« on: July 27, 2017, 07:03:05 pm »
Hello
I am new here and need an advice.
I want a good analog oscilloscope and therefore I am looking for a Hameg HM605.
I found one in the internet for 180 €. Do you think this is a good price? Should I buy it?
Thank you for your replies.

Well that translates to about 160GBP. The general rule with vintage analogue oscilloscopes is said to be 1GBP per MHz of bandwidth and since this is a 60MHz, one might be expected to pay around 60GBP for a working scope with that bandwidth. However Hamegs often seem to go for considerably more than the market average and I have seen one of these go for more than 100GBP on eBay. The 604/605 does not come up very often which may be a factor, although 180€ does seem rather high. Then again, perhaps the market in Europe is a little different to the UK.
