DSO 31O2A USB Interface Difficulties
« on: December 05, 2020, 05:54:45 am »
Hello Everyone

I have picked up my first Oscope, for personal use, and it is a used HP Agilent DSO3102A from eBay. I am having some trouble with the USB interfacing.

-The USB add-on board N2865A is not recognized on startup.
-The firmware flash on this thing is 3.x.x.x
-When I connect the USB-A cord to the Oscope and my win10x64 PC the device manager picks it up however, I am unable to get the device to recognize.
-The Keysight tech support page has corrupted 04.02.15 Firmware versions

Cursory searches of google do now show anyone "solving" these issues.

Is there a RIGOL firmwire/driver that I could somehow make work? I wanted this unit in particular as the USB interfacing seems useful. However, I am contemplating returning this item (cost 250 USD) if I cant get it to work as there are slightly older 500 MHz units for sale in this price range without USB.
