Hello, friends.

I ordered on the aliexpress 11.11 sale, a shopping cart for $59 including shipping I managed to snag all of this from the seller, I think is a good deal.

  • A DSLogic Basic logic analyzer, the 256K buffer one
  • (2) EZ-USB FX2LP development boards
  • (10) 10K linear pots complete with knobs(!)

The 10 potentiometers was just a filler item so I could qualify for an additional $12 off coupon but hey, everyone can use more 10K pots.

I was looking through earlier posts on how to convert it to 256M sample buffer.   The post was pretty recent.  But now I looked at the part number for the DRAM and it is marked obsolete, out of stock now!

But am I fooked now because of lack of being able to get the memory chip?   Are there alternatives parts anyone knows a source of?   I know, I should have clicked on the Mouser link before the sale not after.
How bad is the DSLogic Basic without the chip upgrade, anybody using one?   Somebody must be using the Basic model.

Thanks in advance.

I bought the memory chip on Aliexpress as well some time ago. There is a thread with the discussion of the modification:

Hello, friends.

Thanks in advance.

I bought one years ago, it's been very handy and still works nicely, I have no complaints, or plans to upgrade it.

My even older Openbench Logic Sniffer still works as well, but the DSLogic Basic is heaps faster with many more useful triggering options etc.
