Anyone knows the real manufacturer of this RS-PRO "meterscope"?
« on: February 27, 2018, 05:57:54 pm »
I'd like to see how it's built inside, it should be a rebadged like all RS-PRO (ex ISO-TECH) instruments.
Anyone know who's the real manufacturer? Maybe I could find some teardown videos or images.

Look at the datasheet. Although they've re-branded, they often forget to change the document headers  :)

"Datasheet CEM DT-5300B"

Thank you guys. I've seen some videos and a teardown of it and concluded that probably it's not a good choice for that price.

For that kind of money you can get Micsig tBook Mini oscilloscope, and that's a proper scope...

Micsig book is only a scope.
The meter we are talking about is a small oscilloscope, voltmeter, ohmmeter, current meter and other.

Wanted to buy one at first. I have searched a lot about it and all I have found is negative information.

A number of people do like the Micsig scope. People also like a number of modestly priced DMMs. I've never seen a combined instrument that has much popularity, does either job well, or offers a good replacement for a reasonably priced scope plus a reasonably priced DMM.

Yes, I was looking for something mixed like the great fluke scopemeter, but a little bit cheaper :)
Also, trend chart was quite interesting to me.

Would one of the SHS800 models be adequate ?
