UNI-T UT61C calibration
« on: November 18, 2013, 01:06:02 pm »
My UT61C has an annoying feature: resistance values are systematically slightly below the actual resistance. Is there anyway to adjust it? I guess they have some calibration values in their firmware or do they? Voltage measurements are quite accurate (or at least almost the same as in two different Fluke meters, 87V and 289).

p.s. "Get a proper meter" is not a good answer unless you're planning to donate one.
SW engineer trying to design HW because it's more fun.

If i remember correctly all the calibration is done by trimmer pots/caps and there isn't one that specifically does resistance. You may be able to bring it into calibration for resistance at the expense of voltage calibration or something like that.

edit:that's for the UT61E - chances are the UT61C is the same.
