Read RMS voltage with a Rigol DS2000 scope?
« on: November 06, 2013, 02:45:48 pm »
I want to be able to get the RMS voltage of a waveform with my Rigol DS2000 scope.
I have searched the menus and can't find a RMS function, does it exist?
I am looking at noise like signals and need the RMS reading.

Pete.

Press the left side "Menu" button repeatedly until the "Vertical" menu content appears.
Press the left side down arrow button once to scroll the Vertical menu to its second page.
Vrms will be the first selection at the top of the second page of the Vertical menu.

You can press the CH 1 or CH 2 buttons in the vertical controls area to show the applicable Vertical menu.

Thank you.
I searched the manual for "RMS" and did not find it.
I should have played with the buttons more.

Thanks,
Pete.
