DG811 hack to convert to DG900

Hi all
I am shopping for a DDS function generator these days and while going through reviews encountered this thread: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/new-rigol-16-bit-function-generators-dg800900-series/msg2419773/#msg2419773 which explains how the Rigol DG811 can be hacked to work as a DG900 series generator seemingly without too many issues. However, I was not able to find any official guide and latest status of this hack anywhere else. Can someone let me know if this hack still works and if there are any issues that were discovered later?

You huld read it again, it's well explained (only a matter of firmware update). The only "issue" is that the output level is not calibrated for upper frequencies (a lot of drift in mine). If you have question please asked them in the related thread
