[Q] Keysight DSO1072B - change exported image resolution?
« on: October 27, 2015, 05:37:45 pm »
Recently I bought a Keysight DSO1072B, which seems to be a rebranded Rigol of the same model number.

To my disappointment, the exported image file on the flash drive is only 320x240 (the same resolution of its LCD display). It doesn't matter if I save on PNG or BMP, the size is the same.

Even if I use the PC software IntuiLink, the image size is the same (but with inverted colors, which makes it even worse).

Is there any way to change the resolution of the exported image?

The only thing that makes me not totally regret this purchase is the fact that I paid only US$ 260 for it (brand new, from Farnel Newark Brazil).

its literally is a 'screenshot' of the 320x240 screen. what image size do you expect? a bigger image wont give you more data etc.

My primary goal was to share the images on a blog article where I compare smartphone-based signal generators. I am writing a blog post comparing a few Android apps, their capabilities and, of course, their waveforms.

On a second article, I am teaching how to use an OpAmp (LM324) to amplify the signal from the smartphone app and bring it to a 0-5V range, keeping the same waveform, but making it usable on an Arduino, for example.

I both cases, images from the oscilloscope adds value to the article.

Thanks anyway. I hoped there could be a hack or configuration I might have missed that would allow me to have a better image.

you can always just 3x scale the image or so. wont be the sharpest knife in the drawer but it will be legible.
