Can your scope do this?
« on: April 01, 2020, 04:52:24 pm »
I've been cooped up at home a little too long...

so I added a stealth bottle opener to one of my scopes:

Don't be too upset that Fluke has the better bottle opener their sister brand, matco tools, has been making professional hand tools for a while.

I do like to collect HP/Agilent/Keysight prototypes, so you know where to send it for safe keeping should your boss discover it.

Excellent Daniel!  It is a feature I can use, can you make the option available on the MSOX6004A scopes?

Is it a software option or do I have to send the scope in for recalibration?

You send the bottles to Daniel for calibration.
He will calibrate them to "zero level"...

From anchoring boats to opening bottles... how far HP have come, through renaming to Agilent and now Keysight...

Further R+D > Try flipping the magnet and settle on the orientation that least interferes with the CRT traces    :P

A plug in Booze Breathalizer Option (BBO) for the next prototype suggestion

BTW: how much is a slab of Keysight beer, or free with a new scope?    :-//

Every German tool company seems to have an opener in the catalogue. I've got Rittal and Wera, even if I'm more of a Wiha person. Wera is really nice, they have both a cork screw and a bottle opener. Rittal has  integrated bottle opener in all their control cabinet keys.

Where is the R & S one?

Talentless cliché... I think anyone will easily able to find a way to open a bottle of bier in workshop.
I'm afraid the problem lies elsewhere. The bier always runs out at wrong time. What about bier tap?  :palm:

This is what you get with each electrical cabinet. Guess every worker in the electrical industry should have plenty bottle openers at hand. Though this is a Rittal one, other companies do the same.

I saw a picture showing there is plenty of Corona (beer) left in the super markets so it should be possible to get a good deal on testing material.
There are small lies, big lies and then there is what is on the screen of your oscilloscope.

Indeed, this quarantine has started to get into our brains.

What is next, a lime juice and tequila powered DMM?  ;D

Always here for our friends at Keysight (especially you Daniel!) - we've got the perfect complement to their bottle opener.  :-+

Well, if you send me your scope, then yes, my scope can do that. Will save me the trouble of twisting off the twist-offs.
