I'm looking at buying an old HP 6216 power supply from. A made in USA supply is around $100. A made in Korea supply is around $75. Perhaps this isn't the supply to get anyway, but...just wondering if any junkie knew of any differences in quality between the two places of manufacture.

Well anyway, I bought a HP 6214A (circa 1970) for $30 shipped. 1-12V, 1-1.2A, I believe.
Good enough for me. It's a real crusty looking thing by the eBay pictures. I'll definitely have a restoration thread when I get it. Should be fun.
