Rigol function generator repair DG1022u- solved

Hi, just a short video for a repair of Rigol funtion generator DG 1022u
the function generator was not booting on , LCd remain idle , in fact a regulator was damaged
regulator was replaced and tested

It looks like this regulator was already replaced earlier in your generator.

Is this a weak point in the generator in general ?

I have a DG1022, and had no problems yet with it.  Is it perhaps overheating in your unit ?

i bought the generator second hand so maybe it was changed by the first owner  but its a very nice generator very user friendly and i like the way its built
at first i thought it was the lcd that was damaged and was feeling very sad of loosing the generator
