Hi All,

Looking at the original BK 8500 series manual (download here: https://www.bkprecision.com/products/dc-electronic-loads/8500-300-w-programmable-dc-electronic-load.html#docsoft), I see there are a few operations which aren't included in the list of commands for remote controls:
1 - Switch voltage/current range
2 - Set/read "voltage on set" and "voltage off set" values
3 - Read back the Ah value of the measured battery when in battery test mode

It is obviously possible to work around the last 2 by monitoring it via the remote computer and set load on/off accordingly for (2) and calculate Ah and also Wh for (3) which I plan to do. Still, being able to use the internal functions of the instrument is something I'd like to be able to do, it might come in handy.

Anyone knows what the commands for these functions are (if they even exist)?

I asked BK support, but they were unable to give an answer to this so far.

Thanks.

Got another response from BK support. Apparently there are no such commands, so these functions will have to be handled via front panel, or by polling the instrument and reacting accordingly in SW (for the on/off voltage for example).
