Mustool MDS8207 and MT8206 Scope DMMs review
« on: July 31, 2022, 07:49:51 pm »
Hi,
I was asked by many people if I could have a look at budget oscilloscope waveform viewers, sometimes boldly called portable oscilloscopes. As there was so many requests (from my Czech fanbase), I tested them more thoroughly, and decided that english video should be made too.
So it covers Mustool MT8208 and MDS8207 Scope multimeters, and also includes these pocket type DSO138 and Fnirsi 150 "scopes".

To be more practical, and actually show something, I performed few measurements on reviewed 4 dollar func gen, and also performed measurements on two DC 12V to AC 230V inverters, and one PWM regulator.
To make the video complete when it comes to topic, so there are no holes to be covered later, I have also made up 11 scope categories, that are divided by their working principles.

As this forum is filled with professionals, I still think you can find it useful, as there is no good quality review on these instruments. Video is therefore divided to >20 chapters, and you are free to click between them, if you want to skip a topic you know everything about.

Video thumbnail file is attached to the end of this post, and video link is here: https://youtu.be/0Rh4_7IkozQ

You may have seen my previous EEVblog forum post with review of Japanese Hioki multimeters. I will also be reviewing my Fluke 17B+ multimeter pretty soon.

Any constructive feedback is welcome
