All:

I ordered a Micsig CP2100B Current Probe from AliExpress. What I just got from DHL In the USA is is a damaged 100MHz Automotive Scope tablet. I have no real use for such a scope, and really needed that current probe for my work. I am just throwing this out the group, because I worry there is a seller that may not know what he is selling. The scope has damage, to the external chassis, which does not look to be from shipping.

This could all be a mistake, but I would caution anyone looking at these probes to be cautious. When I went to the Micsig site I was sent to this seller from there. Again this could be a mistake, but I think it worth noting to the group.

The power of AliExpress is acknowledging receipt of the item you ordered, use this to start a case against the supplier and demand your money back or receipt of the goods you’ve already ordered and paid for.

Yes, this has been done. What I find odd is when I went to Micsig to order the probe originally, I was sent to this vendor at AliExress. I think it worth noting, what I do have seems to be of reasonable quality other than the physical damage, with the exception of the probe accessories which are deplorable. They provided some 4mm Banana accessories with this product that which the casing is so thin it looks pink (as opposed to red) under normal  lighting.

I still want this probe, as I am doing some SMPS work, and I need a decent current probe, which all the reviews suggest this is a good product. With the previous sentence in mind, I am not sure who is more at fault, the vendor who sold it, or MicSig for redirecting me to this outfit.

Well the seller could be Micsig's AliExpress shop and you getting the wrong product just some clerical stuff up.
Companies don't always sell directly to consumers but have their own separate retail outlets; ePay, Amazon etc.
Do report back on what they have to say about this.

Open a case for a full refund and get your money back... if that doesnt work, your credit card company will deal with it

In the mean time, I've ordered from this person before and they even dhl expressed it to me even though shipping is marked as epacket.

I've also got some from Micsig's offical aliexpress store but they seem out of them atm.. also I picked up one from Dave but he is out of stock now

Seems these have taken off in the last few months as I would expect... most other current probes are just crap compared

Also there is another option.. it seems the A versions are ones that just tested under the 2.5MHz/2.0MHz marks or some that are above it and just back filled from B stock.. maybe looking at the A is worth a gander

I have called the credit card company. I also opened a case with AliExpress. This seller seems to think I wanted an A Model but got a B Model probe. I keep trying to explain what was sent is not even a current probe but an Automotive Tablet Oscilloscope. This will probably take over a week to get resolved. Ugh....
