Any replacement for the UniT UT210E?

I own the ut210e, and in most regards it’s excellent. I have two small issues with it:
1. They seem to be quite poor in accuracy, I’ve used 3 different unit over the years and they were all about 3-5% off in current measurement.
2. The red rubber surround of the mode selection knob doesn’t last long.

Non of these are deal breakers, but now that I need another clamp meter with similar functionality/spec, can’t help but wonder if there are better options on the market at the moment? Some increase in price is fine, hopefully not more than double the ut210e.

With my hate to the Uni-T brand, UT-210E is pretty nice clamp meter for small currents and I think it is hard to beat by other inexpensive brands. But if you don't need DC 2A clamp range than it will be easier to find replacement.

Some possibilities that you might want to consider are the Uni-T UT211B which is a bit more than the UT-210E.  I have a UT-211B and like it, but I can't speak to it's accuracy other than I get readings in the general area I expect.  Also the Owon CM2100 seems to be pretty well regarded at a similar price point to the UT-210E.  There's also a bluetooth version, CM2100B, that might be worth a look.

I posted some test results from my three UT-210Es in that thread.  My comparison was mainly to show that most clamp meters are not really up to the task of measuring low mA currents, and something like the Fluke 771 is needed if you really must use a clamp meter.

I've not seen any issues with the red rubber degrading, and mine are 5+ years old.  You can see the state of mine in the photo I posted in that thread.

I've seen others report theirs are quite accurate, but other than the review by HKJ which mentions his being 2% out I don't recall seeing any numbers.  If I was to buy another, I would likely avoid eBay or AliExpress sellers and maybe try one from TME.

Since that post I have bought one of the Owon CM2100's and first impressions are good, but I have not yet done any quantitative comparisons.  In theory the specs are the same for the 2A DC range at the UT-210E, with both specified as +/-(2%+8 digits), and that +/-8 digits makes a lot of difference for low current measurements.  I'll probably get another CM2100 for statistical purposes as they are not too expensive, and I often use two at a time when doing various measurements.  I won't bother to get the Bluetooth one, as I'd likely never use it in practice.

Not sure if anyone has attempted any hacks on the Owon like there is for the UT-210E, but I've never actually bothered to hack mine.

Seems like there isn’t a “new kid on the block” that clearly surpasses the ut210e.
I will look at the options mentioned here and make up my mind after some more reading, so far not sure which I prefer.

As for that red rubber, might be a weather issue. I have one and 2 friend from around here own the ut210e as well, all of us have a meter with no red rubber, it just dried off and fell in pieces over time. One of them was actually kept in its case for 99.9% of the time.
