Anyone have a Cami Research CableEye M2 M3 M2+ M3+ Cable Tester?

I have a Cami Research CableEye M2 Cable Tester on the way. I will do a teardown of it.

I have not received the machine yet will be here any day. I have registered the unit and have downloaded the software V4.3.15 Anyone have a later version of the software?


I just Received my 1st set of Connector Boards for some cables I plan on testing.



I have also started on making the connector board PCB footprint. I will post the easyeda project files on my blog once I get the fit fine tuned!

I have started the teardown. Not Much to it inside.

Not much to it? Some 80+ chips and some 20 resistor arrays plus all the other stuff.
Easy to build yourself.

Snagged a M3U the other day... It Should be arriving Thursday the 22nd or Friday the 23rd

I now have Version V5.3 Thats the Version the M3U was Shipped with.

I Noticed in settings it Listed the M2 so I plugged it in and detected it.

I have to say V5.3 is better then the V4.3

Someone out there must have newer software? Latest Version is V6.2 B-1905

I got another cable eye m3 this one came with Software Version 5.4.240-1277.  I conform it works with the Serial M2 units.  V5.4 is a lot larger then 5.3  39 MB vs 102 MB
