Rigol DSA 832E-TG Unlimited Trial Mod

Hi All,
I couldn't find any unlimited trial time hacks for the DSA 832E TG,
I assumed it was similar to the DSA 815, the board is a different layout, so I did some quick snooping around and found the following,

U166 is an MB85RC16 FRAM

applied a quick solder short on pint 7 & 8 as shown.
8=VDD
7=WP - "H" is protected.
Did a few reboots and the countdown timer is not being updated as per DSA815 mod.

Good day + thank you. As noone replied to this and I am also owning a DSA832E-TG I just wanted to confirm this: Works like a treat!
Funny thing: I only did find this post after opening my device and including "U166" in some searches Results for this are very scarce anyway.

I know this is kind of an old post!
Was just thinking what does the U166 contain of data?
Woud it be possible to just replace the chip and then have countdown timer reset?
Or even better is it possible to replace the U166 with a diffrent kind of circuit maybe some kind of memory and a tiny MCU that would reset the counter when the trials are expired?
