Xantrex XHR Voltage control Knob, Service Manual
« on: January 09, 2022, 12:11:31 pm »
Happy new year to you all.

Any of you guys know what is the Knob used on Xantrex XHR series Power supplies.

I am not actually sure exactly who made these, Xantrex Sorensen or Amatek ( I suspect its sorensen and the others are just brands, maybe somebody could clarify that )

I have a few of these beauties XHR 33-33

Also, anyone have an schematics for them

The knob has a 22mm skirt ie overall diameter

19mm overall high the actual knob part is just less than 19mm

Never saw any leaked services manuals in Xantrex forms ... some sorensen

Maybe a 3D printed clone of your knob could help for a while ?  or fins some shaft compatibles ones ?

It looks like the same knob used on XANTREX XT-Series supplies.
It has a flange just like your PS (not apparent in the picture below) but you can't take the knob off unless you unscrew the faceplate from the PCB behind.
It wouldn't surprise me if they re-used parts.  The knob part number isn't listed in the XT service manual that I have.
The flange base on my XT PS is 1 inch in diameter.

Yes they look similar, I suspect they are common.

I added some photos of the broken one and some dimensions.

Close, but they're not the same.
Maybe you can super-glue yours back together and just tape the shaft enough that a fiction fit would work.

The XT series knob is a friction fit; has no grub screw.
Instead, there is a rubber gromit at knob center to hug the round shaft.
