Hacking of Siglent SDG1000 AWG
« on: May 25, 2014, 05:21:04 pm »
Hi All,

Has anyone made any progress with hacking the SDG1000 series of AWGs from Siglent?

I ask as I would like to 'convert' my SDG1020 into a SDG1025 as the SDG1020 doesn't have a LeCroy counterpart and when using the LeCroy firmware the model number field is empty.

I would like to make this topic alive again.
Searching for used AWG I found an offer on auction portal where someone sells functional SDG1005 flashed to SDG1050 probably (he claims that gen. goes to 50MHz).
Does anybody know any details ?
I've already ask him for a serial number.

I would be careful with that. The versions with a higher bandwidth have a fan.
There are small lies, big lies and then there is what is on the screen of your oscilloscope.

Yes, you are right. Serial number is SDG0003120555. I will ask the guy for more information regarding this.
