Needs help of HP 8510 cable DIY
« on: October 07, 2024, 12:18:34 am »
Basically, I got a set of HP 8510C for free recently, but it didn't come with any original cable.

It needs some non universal cable that costs more than 400$ on ebay, I probably need to figure out a way to make them myself.

08510-60101 for connection between VNA and display, both male 37 D-SUB on each side.

08510-60102-2 for IF signal between S-parameter test set, 24W7 D-SUB with coaxial contact, one male and female on the other.

I ordered the right connector already, now the problem is to findout the correct order. Can anyone with 8510 check their pinout of these two with a multimeter?

Thanks for any related clues. :-+

I thought I could find it in the service manual, but there was no schematic.

The block diagram in the service manual was too basic.

This guy obviously doesn't provide the best offer  |O
