Oldacker Test Leads and Accessories

So I am running a few errands, and I stop by my local electronics surplus store called Philcap in Akron, Ohio and pickup a few items I need. I'm always looking for extra probes, test leads and accessories and I ran across a needle point, nickel plated, polished probe set made by Oldaker. To my surprise, they are made right here in Ohio and have a rather large distributor list. Considering they were not extremely expensive and NOT made in China, I decided to pick up a set and much to my surprise these test leads are pretty good quality.

Here are the specifications the company claims on their website:

The TIP on this lead is made of .080" Dia. X 5/8" long stainless steel with a polished point for insulation piercing. Threaded 8-32 for attachments. (Nickel plated). . .
The PROBE is 5" molded flame retardant ABS plastic with 3/4" safety ring. .
The WIRE is 18 ga. (65x36) tinned copper stranding, rubber insulation .145" Dia. 20KV breakdown 5KV working...  Standard length is 4 feet, sold as sets 1 red, 1 black.

I tested the lead resistance with my Agilent DMM, .048 Ohms with just 2-Lead touching together and ExTech MiliOhm meter using Kelvin 4-Wire I was getting .6 mOhm (Unloaded) and 26.6 mOhm (Load Tested). The tip is very sharp, and the rubber feels good and very silicon like. They fit very snug in my Agilent DMM almost like they were made for it. Looking them up on their website and doing some research on their past, they appear to be a family oriented company and seem to make a decent product. I will do some more testing and update this thread if needed.

I had a set of Mueller probes and yes they are darn sharp probe ends.

I'm quite familiar with Mueller (also located in Akron), but never heard of Oldaker.

Reminds me a lot of Probemaster. Even the probe grips are the older style of "Softie" probes that Probemaster used to sell.

They look good but I emailed them last year to buy a bunch and they never answered my emails.
