Okey dokey. My bits just arrived, and it's a definite confirm, that the instrument does not use the regular "auto store" variety of Universal Mate-n-Lok connector (top, pictured). Do not be tempted to use these. The pins are not long enough to reach to the spring cylinder inside the mating contact, result will be a meltdown given the amount of current this instrument is stated to draw.
The correct contacts are a much larger machined type which crimp with a "Daniels" tool (also pictured). Would also be easy to solder. No chance of fitting these contacts into a regular housing either. They need a different two-piece type.
