Agilent 1670g - Analyzer Card failure
« on: June 19, 2023, 07:11:11 am »
Rather surprisingly, the PSU on my 1670g failed a while ago, most dramatically when a loud bang and debris were jettisoned via the fan. Wind the clock forwards, I sourced a reasonably priced replacement PSU, installed it, powered up, and all appeared good.

But, not.

Over the weekend, thanks to some guidance here, I sourced, installed and ran the PV software which highlights that parts of my Analyzer card are caput.

The tests that failed are: Communication Test, Chip Clock Test, Alignment Test, Comparators Test.

The rest passed, as did all the PC tests, and the Oscilloscope tests.

Firstly, any guidance as to repairs on the Analyzer card, or if thats fubar, does anyone have a 102, or 136 known working card they'd be willing to move on, can you let me know?

Steve
