That is an impressive feat! I skimmed the github repository, but am not entirely clear about the technical concept: Does the microcontroller on the Korad main PCB also get new firmware? (I did not see any.) Or does the touch display's firmware make the display fully compatible with the standard LED display it replaces? (In which case, how does the touch control get fed back to the main processor??)

Thanks if anyone can shed more light on this!

Amazing project. Better look and feel than some top brand PSUs. Luckily I'm already in posession of both products. I will definetly do the mod when I got some spare time.

No firmware update for Korad needed. The display module is controlling the Korad via UART interface and some extra data lines. That's why it's only working with the programmable verison of Korad (DP/P).

I suspect using high speed MCU with touch display make a lot of noise which is not acceptable for lab PSU.

I'm not happy with the original Korad KA3005 noise that the current low-speed controller makes when dynamicly updating the LED display, what can we expect from this miracle?
