Just wait until you come across a moronic sales team which can only deal with the procedures they understand. I guess something went wrong somewhere and/or wrong impressions where given and the people from the sales team where not able to understand, think and rectify the situation. Dealing with such a sales team won't get you anywhere even though most of the customers have no problem with buying gear through that sales team.
Once it happened to me that a salesguy started yelling at me -the customer- over the phone because I was angry they didn't reserve stock for me as his co-worker promised and on top of that they didn't inform me I had to pre-pay the order
. I had a good laugh when I hung up the phone though because of the sheer level of customer care amateurism I was exposed to. This was a wholesale dealer for computer parts BTW and I won't be buying from them for sure. I guess XFDDesign had a similar problem with Agilent's sales department.
However it may be worth to give Keysight another try through another sales channel since it seems they do care about their customers. I have had good experience with their support for equipment I bought second hand. It would be a pity to settle for a lesser piece of equipment if Keysight is the best fit.
