Adding GPIB to HP859XE Spectrum Analyzer

I have an HP 8590E series analyzer that has only the parallel interface.
Does any one know if I replace this with the GPIB board (opt 21) (08590-60108) whether the firmware will recognize the board and enable the menu options?
I know some options are enabled by a series of soft menu keys but I've not seen any reference to the GPIB option.

A long time ago, I upgraded my 8591E with a GPIB interface. I don't recall having to change anything in the 'secret' settings, the GPIB just appeared in the menus. Mine didn't have the parallel interface fitted though.
