There should be a review criterion of "beauty" when reviewing electronics. Cherry wood and soft glowing filaments look much better in the living room than LEDs and fluorescent displays.

Ah but is it sustainable, non rainforest timber, treated for woodworm with safe non chemical organic insecticides? At least we can be happy that less vinyl chlorides were harmed in the production of these enclosures.    And yes they look good too.

You can tell they are American. European countries (away from the Mediterranean at any rate) tend to prefer lighter woods. Darker woods look rather 1970s. Then again that is probably the look they are after!
