What the hell is a jelly bean pot?
I guess this is a bit of an Americanism, since jelly beans are not native to the UK nor perhaps to other parts of the English speaking world (though I think they have lately been introduced to the UK as a non-indigenous species).
The nearest equivalent British expression would be "common or garden", or "garden variety", denoting something common, readily found and not especially exotic or expensive.
(For anyone curious, the native British jelly sweet is the jelly baby, perhaps familiar to anyone who remembers Tom Baker's Doctor...)
