Oldies MM the German Crash Test D I N57410 regulations
« on: May 09, 2011, 02:06:30 am »
According to this link  (PDF to download )

Every analog multimeter rated at 650V , it must pass the safety test of 2000V for 60 seconds ,
so to comply .

Also , the ones that are rated above the 650V , they should pass the safety test of 3000V 50Hz for 60 seconds .

I found the info about the D I N 57410 accidentally , on the Users manual of my analog MetraWatt MA-4S ,
that it did had pass the 3KV test.
And so I started to investigate about it , for more details.

It is sad by thinking that those days at 80s there was no youtube service and fast ADSL lines,
or else we would had , videos with analog fireworks too .  :D
