Siglent SDG2042X Rear connectors, bring forward?

I've got this sdg2042x in a rather small shelf, and I'd like to avoid pulling the generator out as much as I can.

Can I bring the rear counter, aux and clock connectors forward to a s upmall panel or box beside or on top of the generator, without having anything untoward happen?
I'm thinking like 12 to 20 inches of 50 ohm coax with cable mounted bnc-s in the back and bulkhead bnc female connectors in the panel.

I see no reason why you couldn't do that, maybe even with right angle BNC's so to keep the unit as far back as possible.

I agree with Tautech. There's absolutely no problem having a little external connector box to make the rear inputs/outputs easily accessible.

This was my solution.  Not as nice, but at least I don't have to pull the whole instrument out, turn it around and put on close up glasses just to see which connector is which.
