Please note that there is a new version of Girlando's code that fixes a couple of small bugs that can cause some errors. http://egirland.blogspot.com/2014/03/arduino-uno-as-usb-to-gpib-controller.html

I have tested it with a variety of instruments (one at a time) and didn't encounter any problems.

I notice Girlando hasn't yet implemented SRQ and REN?  Do we have to use "his" wiring for the GPIB connector or would it work with the AR488 connector?  I already have one of those, but if I need to make a separate one it would be helpful to know if someone has already tried it....

The wiring is the same for all these different versions, so you can just change the sketch on the Arduino.
