Subtitle for EEVblog - Multiple Languages
« on: August 01, 2010, 05:43:13 pm »
Hi EEVblog
I'm Thai (Thai Tran Quoc )
I'm a Vietnamese and I love what you have been doing.
At first i want to say sorry because didn't read the message that do not send email to eevblog@gmail.com, so i make a topic here.
I want to share the marvelous jobs you are doing to my colleagues in Vietnam but the language is some kind of problem (maybe your voice is a little high and not easy to listen with us) - I tried the transcript function of the youtube but the accuracy is not 100%, and i think you are an engineer and understand that misunderstood may cause awful problem.

So I want to ask you for some favors like this:
1)You can use the transcript function of the youtube to translate from voice to text then correct it again (because the tool can't recognize some technical words).
2)Whenever you export an video - send me an subtitle of that video - so i will translate it into Vietnamese language and return back to you - so that you can put it on your Youtube channel, our colleagues , student can get more easily to understand what you are doing.
That will help our colleagues - Our student who want to connect with the world engineer.

If you don't want to do the second solution, maybe just the first solution, it is Okie.

Thanks for reading this

Hi
I'd like to do this, but it's a matter of not simply having the time. I'd have to watch every video complete again and transcribe it and that would just take too much time.
Sorry.

Regards
Dave.

Dave, you have fans all over the world and most of them actually have a good understanding of english, even if it's not their native language. You could ask them to translate your blog and I know some of them will actually enjoy it.

It happens with software for example. If your software is good enough, there's somebody who would like to translate it to make it available to his country partners.

So, you could try. There's a couple of asian people here in the forum who might be able to send a translation.  ;)
