Pluto SDR - unknown accessory
« on: November 15, 2020, 12:03:45 pm »
Hi all, the other day I received a Pluto SDR ordered from Mouser. In the package there were 2 antennas, a SMA cable and the gizmo shown in the photos in attachment.

The gizmo has what seems a usb 2 connector on one end.
Does anyone have an idea what this might be and what it is used for?

Thanks,
    Tod

That looks like a standard USB ‘A’ female to Micro USB adapter. As such it is passive and just adapts the connector type.

that's an OTG adapter for the case you want to run an USB-Ethernet adapter with a normal USB A-plug, but it's better to watch out directly for one with a micro USB
