David and the gang,
The RG-178 comment is unexpected, as I acquired a 500-foot spool of RG-178 about 20 years ago, ostensibly to create interconnects between homebrew PC boards, etc.
I have a metal ratcheting crimper, and I can get the appropriate die if I don't already have it. But I'm wondering about which crimp connectors to get, as RG-174 and RG-178 differ in diameter?
Also, RG-178 has lots of attenuation, even at 50 MHz. Is that a factor when making measurements, connecting instruments, etc?
Thank you,
