Siglent SSA3032X Plus -> SVA1032X Plus VNA RF switch sweeps
« on: November 28, 2023, 08:43:18 pm »
I built an RF switch with the intent of never exceeding 52MHz, I focused on Insertion Loss and VSWR below 6m, not so much on Port Isolation.  Came out to less than 0.02dB Insertion Loss at 60MHz.  I have a need to switch a Modulation Monitor (Inovonics 551) between three transmitters at at 101 MHz.  Not finding an RF switch I wanted to spend lots of money on (I would need 6 of these), I decided to test this switch as proof of concept and just build my own.  My recently converted SSA -> VNA came in handy.  This one, was designed to handle power in the HF spectrum, my next version will be for low power switching in the VHF range.  Going to use some Panasonic high freq reed relays and BNC's rather than the high current relay and UHF connectors seen below.
