multiplexed mic input on Yaesu FTM 400

Hey, fellow EEVblogers

I have an ftm-400xd here in the shack and I have been working on an external mic connector. The MH-48 uses an electret mic. So out of default thought I went ahead and connected an electret mic to the correct pins in the pinout (rj11 connector). Upon further research, I think the mic signal may be multiplexed with other control signals from the mic. I am wondering is anyone can help me out here. All i need is ptt and mic input. I got the ptt working but no luck on the mic.
