3G embedded module recomendation
« on: January 29, 2016, 04:26:17 pm »
Hey everyone,

I never used a cellular embedded module but at the moment I have a project which requires one. The whole design needs to obtain FCC/PTCRB certification so a pre-certified module would come in handy. However I would prefer to pay a bigger price tag in order to reduce the hassle of certification as much as possible so I'm not looking only for a pre-certified module but a board that contains everything's RF related (the antenna tuning layout) and that is pre-certified as well. Good support and documentation is also a must have.

Do you have any suggestions on such board?

So far I came up with NimbleLink which uses a Telit module: http://nimbelink.com/skywire-evdo/

You'll have to certify regardless of how pre-certified modules are.
The process may simplify slightly...
