SMD storage: plastic binder pages
« on: January 04, 2012, 12:02:28 pm »
For my SMD components cataloging, I'd like to use some binder's plastic pages SIMILAR to the ones in this picture:

The types I'm searching have several "slots" which develops for the whole height of the page (A4 or similar size, not smaller).
Do you know where do can I find them?

Long shot: these might be 'negative holders' (for photographic film).

I'd prefer the ones especially made for SMD paper tape:
in a single sheet you can put more components strips than using negatives holders.

They are for personal use, so I do no think I will need more than 100/150 sheets.
A custom order is surely unfeasible.

The Seeedstudio's ones are really small (not for certainly A4 size!) and I need them empty:
I already have some E96 resistors sets and lots of reels that I want to "classify" for easier access (don't want to rummage in boxes containing reels).

A while ago I looked at getting these made, but tooling costs were quite high.
However Farnell now sell them:

Also small (only for 8-10cm strips it seems), but affordable. And E96 are usually not high-runners anyway.

The ones sold by Farnell seem really interesting: do you know the sheet size (unable to identify from the .PDF)?

E96: this is one of the reasons I'm looking for those binders. Other type of containers will occupy too much space.

Thanks to your suggestions, it seems I have found some reasonable priced solutions:

They are A4 - 245x298, punched for various different binder rings

I am looking for also to a similar storage and I found this (almost?) identical one on the ebay:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360433103253?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

It is empty, and small.

Typical A4 plastic sleeves + impulse bag sealer could be an option.
