TL866 programmer MiniPrp 6.85 question
« on: April 05, 2022, 11:10:24 pm »
I am using Minipro v6.85 on a Windows 7 box as I understand that is the last Minipro version that will work with my converted TL866CS.  I have not used it much but have used it several times in the last few days. Can anyone tell me how to turn off the setting of lock bit as the default programming option?  I have no desire to set the lock bit as I do plan to reprogram these chips.  Am I reading it right or does setting that lock bit (the default) not set the lock bit fuse so I and others can't reprogram the ATMega328P without having to use a hv programmer to erase them and reprogram them?

I hope that the lock that MiniPro 6.85 is giving me is talking about the fuse link for the lock bit.  At any rate,  how do I turn off that setting so that it is no longer the default setting?  What is its function?  Is it the lock bit in the fuse links?

Thank you.

Tried saving it as a project? I think the write options get saved there. I don't have it in front of me at the moment unfortunately to test.
