my everyday driver is Hakko FX-951 been running strong for 8 years . my station is old worried something my go out soon. while im waiting for replacement parts. thats why im looking for  backup station.
im looking for a cheap china backup soldering station.

i mainly use to solder wires to boards
desolder 8 leg eeproms

P.S . what are common parts that go out on the Hakko 951. so i could keep a look out when they go on sale?

I think you’re worrying unnecessarily. Soldering stations are fundamentally extremely reliable, and the thing most likely to fail is probably the heater — and in the 951, each tip is a heater, so if one fails you just replace the tip. People routinely use soldering stations for decades. Often the limiting factor is that the manufacturer stops making tips for them!
