Cheap Chinese alarm
« on: May 23, 2019, 12:05:15 pm »
I bought this alarm: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32959825719.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.52fb4c4dhuWXJH
I really like the fact the fob is a mechanical key that can be cut to your bike

Inside, it looks like this:

And it's probably the grand daughter of this alarm: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/reviews/motorcycle-alarm-teardown-(or-why-you-don_t-want-to-buy-a-cheap-alarm)/

Of course, I like to tinker with things so a few questions came up. Any chance someone is familiar with them? I'm mostly wondering if the remote uses a rolling code and if the MCU can be programmed (the alarm chirps when armed and disarmed and that's very loud, I'd like to prevent that)

I've seen and had a few of the "cheap Chinese" alarms, I doubt very much if it would have a rolling code, and it might be a Holtek type chip which is an RF decoder, perhaps some better pictures might help people determine.

Cheers
