STATRON 2224.9 Teardown and repair
« on: February 01, 2015, 05:19:48 pm »
Hi folks,

since I moved I was not yet able too lazy didn't set up my electronics lab properly.

My PC desk - also not properly set up - was intended to be stuffed with a DMM and a PSU at least.

The PSU is a Statron 2224.9 http://www.statron.de/details/330
This was a present from my former boss and served me well already for many years. Its the old edition with coaxial potentiometers for U and I setting, the new datasheet talks about a multiturn for voltage and 270° for current.

However, it had a error that has appeared before, several years ago: The voltage display develops a offset which was fixed by reseating a connector on board. Last time I sprayed it with KONTAKT 60 as a preventive measure, today I changed to Teslanol Oszillin - should be better.

Having it open I give you the inside view. The filenames give you the idea what you are looking at.

I'm not a feature, I'm a bug! ARC DG3HDA
