Sparkfun's Variable Load Kit

Not 100% sure if this is the correct forum to post this in, I was thinking test equipment but figured I'd play it safe and put it into Other Equipment. Either way, I got an email from Sparkfun talking about their new Variable Load Kit, works up to 30v 4.5A. Comes with a port for an option LCD. Product shown in the video below as well as a link to it.

Personally I've been looking around for a variable load. So it was interesting to me that this showed up in my email today. What's your guy's opinion? I'm honestly surprised there really aren't many kits available for variable loads.
