Hey guys,
I needed 2 more multimeters quickly, and I really don't trust Radio Shack meters at all, besides being overpriced, so I decided to go out on a limb and check out Home Depot's offerings. I got this for $19.
What do I think of it?
Pros-
1.) Pretty cheap
2.) Doesn't feel too bad in the hand
3.) Seems fairly accurate actually, up against my other meters
4.) Internal build isn't terrible considering the price. Could be better, could be worse
5.) Test probes are short, but pretty reasonable
Cons-
1.) No decisive click when you change ranges- You don't know what range you are on
2.) Manual ranging- but to be expected
3.) Supplied battery friggin sucks
4.) Kickstand also friggin sucks
5.) Sometimes just doesn't work (could be the range switch)
6.) No backlight
