Screwdriver question Miniware ES15S

I bought myself a gift on Aliexpress - a cordless screwdriver Miniware ES15S.
The screwdriver has an impact function. It works adequately in positions 1-3. But it has a long delay in switching on the blow at position 4-5. I asked the support service and they said they would fix it in future firmware. Is there anyone here who owns such a tool? Check how your shot works at position 4-5?

Why would you want that function at all?

I get it on a normal screwdriver, here it just bounces out of the screw and tears it up.
Profile -> Modify profile -> Look and Layout ->  Don't show users' signatures

The video didn't show it very well. It is inconvenient to remove with one hand. I’m used to the fact that if there is a function in a tool, then it should work.

this OFTEN means that you have a bad sized bit. These screwdrivers often come with bullshit bits, their like a joke addon. Does it still do this with Wiha bits that you are sure are the correct size for the screw (design spec)?

I got a few of these screw drivers, basically half of the bits are a joke. And half the problem is shitty screws that come in cheap consumer products. Get a good screw from like a electronics hardware place and then see if this happens


I got one of those screw drivers and took it apart after I broke it because of a really nasty drop. I realized I got like 25 fairly precise sleeves, bearings, gears, etc that make up the clutch and the motor gear box, plus a motor and electronics. I did some math and I realized that there is no god damn way the bits have any sort of quality if they give you all that for the price. Because good bits cost as much as the driver. Their like all ground, heat treated, QC measured, etc. I give them a similar quality to the "wings' that come to seal a window air conditioner up. They are good engineering concept prototypes to show someone vaguely what you want the final product to look like, if you were designing bits. Good 4mm bits are 2-4$ each.


Same problem as the drills that come with the micro drill that is similar form factor. People were complaining they can't drill war hammer miniatures, meanwhile I managed to make a nice hole in 1/8 inch steel and 1/4 brass because I got swiss made drill bits that fit the same tool. Problem is their like 10 dollars each, aka the cost of all the drills is equal to the driver.


Like china is going to CNC grind properly hardened driver bit steel and then run it through a multi point QC inspection with a CMM.  :-DD

I have a feeling their banging bits off some induction hardened surplus concrete reinforcement wire heat treated with filtered fryer oil while the other guys are using a swiss machining center running with blaser lube and vacuum kilns to make similar looking products. There is something very creative going on there.  ;)


then the other side of the equation is the bolt/screw production line, running clapped out screw machines over due for replacement 20 years ago. I bought some nice screws from keystone and I started thinking "WTF IS THIS SHIT" when I get fasteners from commerical products

ok but my point was more, why would you want an impact driver for tiny screws regardless of fit.

It makes sense on large screws because it is physically difficult to turn them and you need that advantage. On small screws to me it makes no sense.
In this case the screwdriver has no impact hammer mechanism internally, which is the whole point of an impact driver.

if its built good enough its a form of QC because its automated and regulated.

You can use it for setting plastic screws, if its strong enough for the correct hole combination, a area where mini electric screw drivers commonly fail. Additionally, its less work on the hands, which is particularly useful if you don't wanna do your job in the first place because its bullshit, where the smaller more powerful tool is lighter then the next available tool but saves your hands.

if you ever have someone offload bullshit on you, suddenly every applicable tool is a god send. The wow stick saved me alot of effort and allowed me to precisely disassemble many india made low quality poorly engineered budget boxes, but it was just a tad too weak to perform the initial assembly. if i had this tool i would have been alot happier then. I can take these little screw drivers out of my desk, slip it in my pocket and go do some work without looking like some handy man walking around with a drill


If I had it last month I would have used it to assemble a bunch of thermocouple terminals for repeated testing. Why not. the next smallest drill was too big to comfortably align into the weird data aquisition box angled terminals, and the wowstick was too weak. I had to buy new thermocouples and glue them on for every test into something very annoying
