This build quality is much better, and it has a proper quality Caddock 1776 resistor decade network. Probably based on FET reference voltage. Pictures copied from chinese EE forums.

Interesting that the cheaper model appears to have better build quality and parts (and least the resistor network).

the caddock part is 10$ bulk at digikey
what on earth were they hoping to gain by using a no-name part on the higher model?
