PC based laboratory equipment??

Hey guys have anyone used PC based laboratory equipment, like a 2 GSPS oscilloscope, 10 GHz bandwidth spectrum analyzer PCIe boards?
I wonder how their performance stand to the "real deal" high performance keysight, tektronox etc divices.
